The Most Amazing Concert Experience EVER!!!

Picture it, November 17th, 2008, I haven't slept a wink and recuperating from a very VERY bad flu bug. A moment almost as big as my wedding had arrived........MEETING the BACKSTREET BOYS!!!!!!!!!! Two days prior I had been wed to my amazing husband, and here we were, prior to our Honeymoon, heading to a concert!

Now, I have been a fan since I first laid eyes on the guys almost 17 years ago, so you can only imagine the excitement in the air. I have all of their CD's, have never let up in being a fan, even when they fell off the scene for awhile, and here I was, little old Kamloops girl, about to meet them! Once again, a prize from our local radio station, 97.5 The River. When I got into the draw, I cried (on the radio) at the thought of winning a chance to meet Brian, Nick, AJ, and Howie, PLUS front row tickets to the concert! Low and behold, a week later, I received THE call......and cried some more!

So, here they are, and here I am, prior to the concert, during the meet and greet Soundcheck Party! I'm sooooo lucky! Oh yeah, that's my husband to my right, and radio personalities, Ara and Crystal on my left!

The Hedley Experience!

Well, I have to say that last year was my year for winning amazing prizes with a local radio station. 97.5 The River Rocks! Here's adventure number one which took place last July. I won two tickets for myself, as well as backstage passes.

This band formed after Jake Hogarth's adventures with Canadian Idol. I liked him then, and was excited when he formed the band and released their self-titled CD, shortly followed by "Famous Last Words" practically back to back. The members of the band were so much fun and sooooo nice. Yahoo!

I saw a story on CNN (who didn't) and I couldn't help myself! The Best Job In the World aka, Island Caretaker, on Hamilton Island located in the one............the only................GREAT BARRIER REEF! Can you imagine!???!!!???

This fun-loving female had to apply for this job! Coming up with the layout was a riot, waking up at 5a.m. with the idea....not so much! I hope you have as much fun watching it, as I did making it. I sent it twice, as I thought it hadn't gone through the first time, and pray they don't think I'm trying to pull the wool over their eyes! As one could only imagine, the site is a VERY popular one and there are delays due to their overwhelming response! As an FYI, it may even delay sending to the point of time out (my first one didn't verify, but low and behold confirmation arrived a week later, yahoo!) Enjoy!
